Nice experience
Very well located, 5minutes away from the underground station La Bastille and also very central.
Local restaurants nearby as well as bakery and supermarket chain
It was good value for money and the staff was very nice too. Reviewed by ISABELLE H, who stayed in August 2011
An enjoyable city break
The Paris Bastille hotel was very clean, close to the Bastille metro and the staff very helpful and their English very good for those who struggle with french. The breakfast was good and reasonable price as part of B&B. I would stay there again.
The restaurants close to the Hotel are not as good and it is worth travelling to the latin Quarter or eating up near the Pantheon. Reviewed by Tracey H, who stayed in August 2011
Nice place to stay
The hotel was just right for an over night stay on a Paris break. It is a reasonable distance from the EuroStar by taxi (although it took a while in rush hour) and was a nice walk away from the tourist attraction Notre Dame. Although located on a main road, the windows were more or less sound-proof, which ensured a good night's rest.
The staff spoke goood English. Reviewed by Helen D, who stayed in July 2011
A modern, sophisticated hotel perfect for a short city break.
Our stay at the l'hôtel Paris Bastille can only be described as excellent. On arrival we were warmly greeted by staff who were extremely helpful in providing us with information regarding the surrounding area and transport links.
We found our room relatively spacious, and well equipped. Décor was modern and only a little jaded in places. The bathroom facilities were impeccable. A safety deposit box and WIFI is available free of charge. Rooms are cleaned daily, which couldn’t be faulted.
Breakfast was included in our rate and so we were able to take advantage of the wide selection available, ranging from toast and cereal, fruit and yoghurts, to croissant and cold meats.
The only unfortunate incident occurred on the day we were due to check out, but it was both swiftly and efficiently dealt with. The lift broke, but the reception staff were extremely accommodating and able to hold our luggage for us until later in the day when we were on route to the train station.
Overall we had a great time staying in Paris at this hotel. It is very well situated, only a few mins from the metro station and with easy access of all the different districts of the city. No metro changes are required from the Eurostar. Room service is available if required, but there are many restaurants/cafés on your doorstep with a slightly lower price tag than those in the centre of Paris.
I would recommend l'hôtel Paris Bastille hotel to anyone and would happily return for another stay. Reviewed by Sarah R, who stayed in March 2011
Convenient for short stay in Paris
Pleasant hotel with quite small rooms as expected in Paris but comfortable enough for a short stay. Breakfast room very small which was difficult when hotel full. Closeness to transport a real bonus. Reviewed by N Haydon, who stayed in August 2010
