Lovely quiet hotel close to the easy to use metro
We loved this hotel. Considering the price to stay elsewhere in Paris we found this place to be excellent value for money. The rooms are small, but functional and considering the amount of time we spent in the room, it was more than adequate for our needs. The staff were really helpful and organised a transfer back to the airport. We had breakfast one morning which was lovely and in a lovely setting. Overall a very pleasant stay in a lovely, quite central location. Reviewed by Stuart M, who stayed in February 2012
Birthday Break
First of all getting here is pretty easy once you know the metro if coming from the Gare d'Nord, as a guide take the 5 line until Republique / Bastille and then the 8 line until Faidherbe-Chaligny and you're 2 minutes away from the hotel.
The reception was lovely and we were upgraded to a better room, possibly because of my birthday and everyone was very welcoming. It's in a nice area and very easy to get around via the metro. The room was very spacious and clean although the carpets were a bit marked, but the fabulous shower more than made up for this. The staff were by far and away the most polite and pleasant people we met in Paris and were very helpful and remembered my birthday and greeted me in the morning with a smile and said happy birthday.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and stay here again, although my girlfriend and I were a little surprised to find that the toilet in the room has no door but this in no way impacted our stay. Lovely hotel, great staff and nice area of Paris with lots of little restaurants, cafe's and shops nearby. Reviewed by P Bell, who stayed in March 2011
Short Break in Paris
We liked the decor which was very modern and bright within quite an old building. We liked the old staircase. The breakfast room in the basement was lovely.
We felt the location was good - close to nice shops and restaurants, also within easy reach of the Metro. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Reviewed by Seonaid Black, who stayed in June 2010
