Good location, but a little shady for comfort
The hotel was walking distance from Nord station (we traveleld via Eurostar from London), and was thus convenient, but the overall environment wasnt very exciting. It was a touch shady in the corridor and the room seemed a little too compact. Not the best hotel we have stayed in. Locationwise, its a good deal as its close to Gare de l'Est and gare du Nord. fine for the price
convenient, clean, quiet and comfortable. Reviewed by J Fisher, who stayed in October 2011
All rooms were clean, en-suite and fresh towels provided each day. Storage was plentiful though we would have liked safety deposit boxes in the rooms rather than in the hotel basement. Breakfast was very good, particularly in comparison to the other local options. Location ideal for easy access to Metro and RER. We were on a budget and were very impressed as we had a very comfortable stay with superb value for money. Reviewed by L Warner1, who stayed in August 2011
A conveniently located comfortable hotel, near to Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord
Room adequate, although a little too hot. Breakfast available from 7.30am, but I was unable to use this option as I had to catch a train at 8am. Reviewed by Richard B, who stayed in August 2011
May be cheap but still not worth it!
We paid 63 euros for one night in the tiniest double room ever, no breakfast. Room on 5th floor, mould on bedroom wall, no tea/coffee and notices to say no drinks or food in rooms are allowed. Fair enough if there were facilities to make your own, but unfair to not provide drinks and then say no drinks allowed. No fridge, no air con. Very old bed and old bedding to match. Realised the next day that my sheet had dark brown stains on it so can assume unwashed from previous - yuk! Small bath with plug that didn't fit, so couldn't have a bath, shower worked fine but no shower curtain so the floor was very wet. This place needs a serious refurbishment. Curtains very thin so let light in. Good TV but no English channels. Location was grim - walk to the Seine was not pleasant. Staff friendly enough, but we asked for a lower floor because of vertigo, were told hotel was full. It didn't seem full. Very poor value for money - avoid at all costs. Est Hotel - Cheap hotel - needs updating
Est Hotel in Paris - used for infrequent use.
The beds were singles - we had asked for a double.
The shower needed a curtain and a shower holder (the two rooms we were in didn't have this).
The toilet in our room could have been placed further back so as to give more room.
The breakfast was reasonable - could have had cold meats in addition.
We were downstairs next to the staff areas; and we could smell smoke at the end of the day permeating our room - which wasn't pleasnt.
The staff we came across were generally very helpful with a cheerful disposition.
Generally expensive for what was offered - 3 star??? hmm... more like a cheap 2 star with no frills. Reviewed by J Proops, who stayed in June 2011
Est Hotel
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were also helpful when we needed anything. They welcomed us to store our baggage after we had checked out. The rooms were clean. The bathrooms were clean. We had access to coffee/tea and drinks. There was a relaxing seating area. It was possible to return to the hotel at anytime of day and night. The metro's were accessible, as were supermarkets and places to eat, although not many boulangerie/patisserie in the area. Gare de L'est is nearby and has a variety of touristy shops if you want to rely on finding specific things to buy easily. There are many hotels in this area, but I would recommend this one. Make sure you take the address with you, once you book up, as most places have the word 'Est' in their name and it is hard to find otherwise!!! Reviewed by Sarah-Jo M, who stayed in February 2011
Very friendly staff.
I really liked the hotel the only minor issue was that instead of getting a double bed we had three singles but it was on the website beforehand that doubles could not be garaunteed, I should have called to check. I would stay again. Reviewed by R Burke, who stayed in January 2011

Great Value
Excellent little hotel, very handy for Gares du Nord and de l'Est, with easy access to centre. Friendly staff, comfortable room, nice and clean and very quiet. Choose room at back if possible. Fantastic value. Reviewed by B Scott, who stayed in September 2010
The room didn't have air-condition or a fan and it was very very hot. I wouldn't recommended it for a summer holiday. Reviewed by STELLA A, who stayed in July 2010
