Doesn't match the website
The images on the website are inaccurate, the rooms are shabby, dirty and the shower room was tiny you literally step out of the shower and your over the sink. You have to wedge yourself into the toilet to exit the room. We slept with the windows open each night as it was hot in the room, We stayed in a double room and when laid in the bed you touch the end wall with your feet if your over 6ft tall. We had no towels one day and toilet wasn't that clean, neither was the shower. It's on a noisy street where there are lots of people shouting etc in the night. Its in quite a dodgy part of paris. It's worth spending the extra £30 a night to go somewhere far nicer. They try and charge 9 euros for a tiny bottle of evian. We didn't eat there because the entire hotel wasn't that clean. The stairs are quite steep and the lift is tiny.
The staff were polite but that's as far as it went. We bought the £62 per night offer over 4 nights and were charged £70 per night on arrival.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel and I wouldn't stay there again Reviewed by G BURNS, who stayed in July 2011
Cheap and cheerful...
Booked as a last minute as our usual hotel was fully booked. On first glance, I did worry about what we'd walked into as the hotel is very dated. However, after meeting the friendly receptionist and heading into the smallest lift in the world to get to our room, we were pleasantly surprised.
Again, the room was dated, but there were 2 huge windows letting in lots of light, and a cute little view over the street to watch the world go by. The bed linen was clean, and unlike other hotels I've been to, there were spare pillows and blankets on hand in the wardrobe.
The only down-side, was that the shower was very small, and definitely not suitable for people on the larger side.
We were centrally located, with grocery stores near-by, and within easy reach of the restaurants and Metro at Republique.
