Second time we've stayed here!!! Basic but great location!!! hence the second time we've stayed!
Stayed here for 4 nights this time, its my second visit to this hotel. Trust me its good value for money, especially for Paris. Good hotel if you are just using this hotel as a base.

Ok if you are alone and only there to sleep
This was not a particularly clean place. Customer service was good, and location was good. But I wouldn't go back. Reviewed by L B, who stayed in October 2011
Three Night Stay at the Hotel Aquarelle - Family of Four
A great little hotel, in a good location - easy to get around Paris. A surprise to find we had been allocated a duplex room - thought we'd be getting the standard 2 x 2 with no extra space but no!! a great surprise with plentty of space as the kids were upstairs. Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly - asked for more pillows - not a problem. Breakfast - typical French, in the downstairs basement - pleasant friendly staff - helpful as I have a special diet and they went out of their way to help. Extra 5Euros for breakfast. We booked a taxi for the airport as this was 28Euros cheaper than the hotel shuttle bus. Reviewed by S Powis, who stayed in May 2011

Well situated hotel, which at some time in the dim and distant past has had a makeover that was intended to make it funky and artistic (think strange, almost sculptural Philippe-Starck-esque bathroom fittings and exposed stone walls). But that was a LONG time ago. The room was very definitely in need of a more than just a retouch on the decoration side, and some of the impact on me as a visitor wasn't just superficial - the lighting, for example, was rubbish (could barely read because of 'trendy' fittings) and the blinds needed some ingenuity to shift. That said, it was a sweet little room, with a comfortable bed and I had a good night's sleep. And the guy on reception was very helpful and keen to practise his English Reviewed by C Hunt, who stayed in May 2011
excellent location
My friend and I stayed 3 nights and while the room was small and basic, it was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. For the price it could not be faulted. If you have a room facing the street (as we did) it might be wise to invest in ear plugs as the street is a busy one, we wanted to keep the windows open as the nights were warm. If you want a cheap option and are content with basic facilities this hotel is a great option. Reviewed by B Lynch, who stayed in May 2011
Excellent location
Excellent location for exploring Paris, the staff are friendly and accommodating, the rooms aren’t lavish but perfectly fine for the price. Breakfast is on the simple side but plenty of other alternatives outside if you desire. I have no problems in recommending this hotel. Reviewed by Steven W, who stayed in September 2010

A little dated and simple yet great location and value for Paris
A very dated and simple hotel. In Paris you definatly get what you pay for! Great value and great location. Recomended for people like me who use hotels to sleep in and spend the rest of your time visiting and enjoying the city. Not a hotel to sit in relaxing!
