Hotel Berkeley
I stayed at this hotel while I was in Paris for a conference. On the whole it was a very good experience. The hotel is very conveniently located with easy access to public transport and a walkable distance to many tourist sites. The staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The only down size is that the room was small but this is usual for Paris. Although it was small it was very comfortable. The room had all amenities but being British the only thing that I would say was lacking was a kettle. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel and would recommend it to others. Excellent location.
This hotel is well located. The Metro station Montparnasses Bienvenu is right in front of the hotel and Gare Montparnasse is only a few minutes walk away. The Eiffel Tower is less than half an hour. Lots of excellent shops and cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Reviewed by Michael Chan, who stayed in June 2011
Good for student or travellers on budget
The rooms don't have any safe to store your money or valuables and no sign or policy to ask not to clean the room everyday. So I had to specifically ask for "no one entering the room" so I could at least leave my luggage open. It's in a good neighbourhood to walk around and see a lot of people. The room is very small bur newly renovated and clean. The staff are good and polite and they'll listen to you. The only problem is that it's right across some sort of party/club area and there is too much noise since the windows are not double glass to reduce the general noise.
