When checking-in the reception desk should remind the guests that breakfast is not included. Reviewed by R Mesquita, who stayed in December 2011
The location is great. You get what you pay for.
To say we didn't enjoy our stay wouldn't be accurate. The room was adequate and we were paying less than 100 BST so we knew it wasn't going to be the Ritz. The other reviews online were accurate that the noise from the school across the street and construction in the neighbourhood woke us up every morning before 8am and that they were still painting and renovating the lobby. The neighbourhood and location is really what you're paying for. Some excellent restaurants within a moment's walking distance and easy location from which to get anywhere. Overall we got what we paid for. Reviewed by Michelle M, who stayed in November 2011
Small but confortable
When we arrived and saw the exterior we were about to run. However when we got inside the reception we could see that the hotel was being renovated.
The rooms are very small so unless you want more than just somewhere to put your head down for the night then this is not for you.
The location however is spot on. Plenty of Restaurants cafes and bars around. Public transport is close by.
We go a discounted rate but the published room rate of 300Euros per night is frankly ridiculous. Reviewed by Robert Armstrong, who stayed in November 2011
location, location for singles
Under renovation when we stayed. The hall was incomplete. Rooms are small, but nice. No tourist information in the rooms and staff was not informed about anything happening. Windows don't shut completely, so avoid cold months....Good location. A bit pricey! Reviewed by m petrucciani, who stayed in November 2011
The worst late rooms deal I 've ever had. When I arrived it was a building site. Missold or what?
Please beware, they are refurbishing the reception and restaurant for the winter period. If it seems too good to be true, it normally is. Reviewed by M Duggal, who stayed in November 2011
Room Quality V Location
I stayed at this Hotel for three nights in June 2011. One arrival I found that my room had a double bed rather than two singles. When I requested a change this was done with no fuss.
Overall the Hotel is dated and the carpets and walls show sign of age. The rooms are small but this is paris so you get what you pay for. The beds and bathroom were clean and this ment that they met my requirements for this trip.
Breakfast costs 10euro and was quite good value even if it was very basic. I found the staff to be pleasent however I only ever met them while checking in and out and at breakfast.
Whether one likes this hotel or not will depend one what ones expectations.
Location is the one area that this hotel scores very well on. A word of warning though for clients arriving via CDG and the metro. The station at Bastille is closed at present however the Saint Paul station is very near by.

We found this hotel extremely pleasant. It was ideally positioned in a lovely area and next door to a super market! The beds were excellent - very comfortable and everything was clean and nothing smelt bad.
The room was very small so that the twin beds were pushed together making a large bed. As I was with my twin sister we did not mind but another couple might have preferred more space.
There was no safe. The decor was very unobtrusive. It was a delightful small hotel but with no extras. The staff were extremely helpful. Reviewed by FELICITY C, who stayed in April 2011
Nice and central
The hotel is pleasant, great position very central. Reception staff was very nice, one guy in particular was quite funny. Rooms are small but clean. Reviewed by Giorgia D, who stayed in March 2011
Nice
The motel was lovely, clean and well situated in the Bastille area. Proximity to many metro stations made travel cheap and easy. The room was great for one person traveling with a backpack. The staff was friendly and spoke english. I had no issues while was there and enjoyed my stay. Reviewed by Bonnie G, who stayed in February 2011
Very central accommodation.
There was a nice male receptionist when we arrived late and exhausted. He was very polite and spoke English too. We had a reduced rate. The full rate would have been too much for this hotel as there were no hot drink facilities in the small rooms. Otherwise average facilities but in a good area near St Paul. Breakfast 10 Euros extra - a little expensive. Reviewed by S Dunn, who stayed in February 2011
Location Loacation Location
Like most accomodation in Paris, the rooms are small but clean and tidy. What makes this hotel is the location. Just 100 metres from the Bastille and Voges Castle and easy access to the Metro makes transport a breeze. Arrivig from Charles De Gaulle Airport we found it easier to catch RER and taxi rather than the hassle of luggae on Metro. Staff were helpful and we would definitely use the hotel again.
