Great Location
L'Empire is in an excellent location, a 2 minute walk from La Louvre Muesum, where there was a stop for the open top tour bus! The hotel is situated just off a main street and in a good locations for restaurants. There is a small cocktail bar in the hotel which is lovely to have a few quiet drinks. The staff were exceptionally good, getting maps and answering any queries we had. They also carried you bags to your room and to your taxi when leaving! Paris is expensive so the price for the room was expected for the location. Would definetly book again. Reviewed by Maire M, who stayed in February 2011
Great location, good service, but still too pricey
A hotel that is excellently located, with friendly staff and efficient service. The rooms are well appointed, but a little to post modern (and therefore 'cold and sterlile') for my style. Even with the internet discounts, the prices are about 20% too high - one is of course paying for the location, but there are better priced hotels in the same location. Location is the best part of this hotel
Great central location near Louvre, unfortunately staff or decor didn't match - staff indifferent from moment we checked in, when reported concerns about noise levels in room the traditional gallic shrug was the extent of their attempt to rectify the problem. Overall poor hotel, room clean but dated decor, cracked bathroom tiles etc. Not worth full paying full price, even after getting LateRooms discount left feeling I'd overpaid for very average service.
