Tired but functional
Needed somewhere to stay for exhibition North of Paris and location near Gare du Nord was excellent. Romm however was pretty noisy from road traffic until around midnight and then again from 6am. Decent sized room with double bed and single for colleague, and mind was comfy albeit with weird pillows that took some getting used to. Didn't feel it delivered enough for the price paid, but accomodation in Paris was limited and it is an expensive place generally so guess prices were inflated! Lots of nice restaurants and bars to drink in and the locals were generally friendly to us 2 brits. The lebanese restaurant next door served some decent good value food and is worth a visit, and the owners english was good enough. Overall would probably stay again but only at around 100 Euros per night. Reviewed by Mark G, who stayed in October 2010
very satisfied
It is clean, the service was very good, and pleasant, admitted there is the traffic noise, which did eventual get quiet, but after all you are in the centre of Paris, very convenient for eurostar. with Gard du nord just round the corner, and plenty of night life just a few minutes away. It is a small hotel but well worth the money. Reviewed by gerald g, who stayed in September 2010
my stay in paris
1. shower was very poor and was broken
2.Quality of room was poor for 95euro (dark and depressing)
3.Never book a taxi from reception to airport-they use their own private taxi which has no meter it cost us 70euro (a local parisian taxi driver told us this trip should cost no more than 45euro at peak traffic times) total rip off! always use parisian taxi with a meter. Excellent location
we chose this hotel as it is extremely close to the Gare du Nord, and a short walk (or Metro ride if it's raining) to the Gare de l'Est.
There is nothing fancy at all about this hotel, but the rooms were serviceable, the bed comfortable (could have done with an extra pillow) and as we were travelling on after a couple of days, it suited us well Reviewed by Ken H, who stayed in September 2010
