Excellent ratio price and service in the heart of Paris
Myself and my partner were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Louvre Richelieu, it was quiet and peaceful (except when a noisy neighbour decides to start a conference in the hall at 6h a.m. and bang his luggage on the corridor walls, but this is out of the hotel control) and a good descent size room . The room was newly decorated and the medium yellow tone of the walls were a good shade choice, with nice thick quality fabric curtain in a nice shade too, which protected your sleep from the early day light. The mattress was good, which is critical and the pillows were very good too. And last but not least, we have met 3 different receptionists during our stay and they were all extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. Even lending us an umbrella, without us asking and browsing the internet to find more information on the city when we asked. We will definitely use this hotel again when we visiting Paris another time and will recommend it to our friends and acquaintance. Reviewed by Estelle D, who stayed in August 2011
Good place to stay, close to the principles attractions of Paris.
If you are looking for a place cheap, close to the Louvre and the other main attractions of Paris, this hotel is perfect. Dont't expect luxe but it was fine. I would return! Reviewed by Jose Miranda, who stayed in June 2011
Basic - but good value. great location
If you want de luxe, this ain't for you. But it's cheap, it's clean and situated in easy walking distance of le tout Paris, or at least the 1em and surroundings. The downside? You have to haul your bags up a flight of stairs to reception, then could be up to another 3 flights - no lift - to your room; toilets and showers are shared facilities, on the same floor as your room - rudimentary, but clean and in working order; the rooms are basic, but clean and adequately comfortable; in-room wifi - but no TV (but then who wants to come to Paris to sit in their room watching CNN...?). For the budget traveler or the committed skinflint, this is a place for you - especially when you think that in the same street you could pay two or three times the price. I'd say stay here and save your money to spend at one of the many brilliant restaurants within a few minutes walk. Reviewed by Chris G, who stayed in January 2011
