Decent
Room was not as small as people were suggesting. If you have ever stayed in Hong Kong or London then you will be happy with the size. The lift is tiny but the stairs are fine to use if you are not on a high floor. One problem was the wifi modem had to be rebooted the first night so that I could have internet and the new receptionist the second night did not know how to do this. Good central location yet very quiet. Room basic but comfortable and adequate. Bathroom small but good shower. Reviewed by S Fell, who stayed in February 2012
A reasonably price Hotel in a great location
For our first trip to Paris this Hotel was in a great location. The room was very small as was the bathroom, this didn't bother us though as we were rarely in the room with Paris at our doorstep. The quality of sleep was very poor due to excess noise from outside the room. Staff were fantastic and very obliging. Reviewed by L Mckey, who stayed in May 2011
Weekend in Paris with my daughter
My daughter and I have visited Paris every spring and this is the second year running we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are basic but clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is available but there were so many bars in the area we liked to go to one of those and sit and watch the world go by while we ate our croissants. The Hotel is close to the Opera House and Galleries Lafayette and we were able to walk to all the popular tourist attractions. We will certainly return as it is the perfect location. Satisfied Customer Returns to Late Rooms to Book City Break in Paris!
The room and shower room were clean. The room was small but this didn't matter for a couple of nights. The plugs were in a good place for straightening my hair as the plus was next to a mirror chair and dressing table, which makes a nice change. We could not find a channel on the TV that was in English but again no problem as we listened to the music whilst getting ready. The location was excellent. The hotel was very close to the metro and the roissey bus that we needed to catch on the Sunday to take us back to the airport. The decoration was a good standard and I definately felt hapy to stay there. More pillows please! I would recommend this to friends. I love booking via late rooms as its so easy to use and you can select rooms based on your needs easily. I spent hours on another site with my husband looking for a room and didn't feel confident with the options, after around 4 hours, I felt that it was taking the fun out of booking our city break. I came back to late rooms as I have used it before and loved our hotel in Scotland. I will always visit this site for future breaks as I booked within 10 mins with confidence that the hotel would be as it looked on the site. Reviewed by Sarah H, who stayed in April 2011
PERFECT location for a shopaholic!
All rooms in Paris are small but then you're not there for that! However I can't stress enough how PERFECT this hotel is for a shopaholic. 200-300m from Galeries Lafayette, Printemps, (both HUGE department stores offering every designer you can name), Boulevard Haussman and Rue de Rivoli (designers). Paris is such a walkable city that you are never really more than 50mins walk from any major tourist site. This hotel is perfect for that too. Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, Montmartre, Notre-Dame, Tour Eiffel, stroll along the Seine, all less than 40mins walk away (or if you're not into walking it is on 3 metro lines so again perfect location for getting around on the metro underground, it's also on several bus routes which means you actually get to see Paris while travelling around). I speak French but the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and speak English well too. Another top bonus was a FABULOUS Bistro Romain restaurant about 20m away from the hotel (turn left, end of street, turn right and you're there). Excellent French food! Or there were several other restaurants around too on the boulevard des italiens (left out of hotel) or rue la fayette (right out of hotel). French (inc. several bistros, Leon de Bruxelles and Quick), American (inc. Pizza Hut, McDonalds and even a Starbucks!), Japanese, Italian. You are spoilt for choice. There were also several cinemas on the street corners. Would stay here again in a heartbeat - in fact we will be very soon! We didn't eat there, but there was space in the foyer of the hotel for eating or just chilling out with a glass of something. I challenge anyone to stay at this hotel and not enjoy their Parisian experience! Reviewed by Ruth H, who stayed in March 2011
Accommodation was a bit basic
Although the room was clean and the twin beds were reasonably comfotable, the shower was very small and the toilet was not firmly fixed so it moved a bit when used. The room was quiet so we had a good night sleep but did not stay for breakfast because the hotel did not seem to have a dining room and we only saw a couple of very small tables set for breakfast in the lobby, so we did not want to risk it and went to the nearest cafe. In general, the hotel offered very basic accommodation and the lift was the smallest we have ever seen. As we were on the first floor, we only used it once. stay in Paris
the hotel is smaqll but very confortable, situated in a small road very quiet although so central. There are three main metro stations nearby, connection with Orly and CDG airport is perfect and only 10 minutes walk from Louvre. Very near to Opera and Rue st Honoré. Hotel is clean and with few bedrooms which make it a perfect place to rest after a long tourist day in Paris.
Very near to Galeries Lafayette and a lot of brasseries and restaurants. Reviewed by benedetta nuti, who stayed in March 2011
Not worth the amount you pay
While this hotel was clean and smack bang in the middle of everywhere I needed to get while I was on business I found it sightly cramped (and I am a small person). The lift was tiny some warning for those with travelling with more than a carry on suitcase! The bathroom door I could just about shut with only enough room to turn. Don't think I would stay here again for the price it was... Reviewed by K Barnard, who stayed in February 2011
Hotel is in a great location - within walking distance of all attractions.
The room was on the small side, but perfectly acceptable for our needs.
The Lift was brillant - you have to see it to believe it! Reviewed by S Patience, who stayed in January 2011
Vivaldi Opera Paris
Very small hanging space for clothes, only 3 hangers for two adults, no tea/coffee making facilities, only three channels on TV, lift not for anyone over 100kg....like a small cupboard, claustrophobic. Reviewed by I Gray, who stayed in October 2010
Location excellent
Location of this is excellent - Right next to Opere (Subway station) and the Galeries Lafayette shopping mall - Car parking at the mall and other closeby locations too - Very good central location. Reviewed by G S, who stayed in September 2010
Great situation
Hotel Vivaldi is in a great situation for accessing anything you would want to in Paris. Very easy to find, very close to a metro station. The room was adequate for a 3 night city break but you'd have wanted a little more space/comfort for a longer stay. The lift is the smallest lift I've ever seen and really only takes one person and their case! Reviewed by L Callaghan, who stayed in August 2010
Good location. Well priced for Paris.
I enjoyed my stay at the Opera Vivaldi. In Paris I wanted a safe central hotel where I could get a good night's sleep and come back to for an early evening snooze and a good shower morning and evening! This I got at not a bad price for Paris. The hotel's location is excellent for exploring Paris on foot or using the metro to get further afield. I slept well. The reception staff were friendly and their presence reassuring. The room was fine for what I wanted, although the bathroom was rather compact. It's true that one's head was in the sink when one sat on the lavatory! The shower unit was a tight squeeze to get into. Not for the fuller figured traveller. The lift was like the capsule used to rescue the Chilean miners! I have never seen the like. However, a good hotel for central Paris. I enjoyed my stay and trip to Paris leaving really satisfied and smiling. Reviewed by Colin H, who stayed in August 2010
Great location.
The best thing of the hotel is definitively its location close to the Opera, La Fayette and right in the middle of 3 metro stations triangle.
The room was more than fine, small but i have seen smaller in other hotels in same category. Hotel was always clean and the staff were super friendly. We will def stay there again when we return to Paris. Reviewed by Helder A, who stayed in July 2010
