Everything you need for a Paris weekend!
Based on my knowledge from the pictures of the hotel I was expecting very dated decor and furniture, but after reading a number of recent reviews I realised the place had been refurbished - and I can happily stay the place looks stunning now, everything is so clean and fresh!
Rooms are small but the beds are incredibly comfortable (much needed with tired legs after a day of walking around the city) and everything you need is in there. I forked out for the Deluxe room with the view of the Eiffel Tower and it was definitely worth it - you see from the second floor of the tower to the top so it is an obscured view, but you still see a lot of it and it looks beautiful in the evening.
The only thing I'd say give a miss is the breakfast (at least the sit down one) it's €18 each and it's a pretty basic French buffet (although good quality, just not as much choice as I thought, i.e. no hot food) - you could go for the cheaper €8 express breakfast which you take away with you or simply have a walk down the road and you'll find a number of little cafes to have some breakfast or just pick up a cafe au lait and pain au chocolat.
I went for my girlfriend's birthday and she loved it. Bear in mind this is a hotel literally right next to the Eiffel tower, so it may seem expensive but there are probably worse hotels nearby charging more per night. Staff speak English, and are very warm and friendly. The hotel itself is not set up as a place to 'live in' for the weekend, but if you are going to Paris simply to stay in a hotel you've chosen the wrong place to go - there's just to much to do in the city to be lounging about in your hotel room.
I'd definitely stay here again! Reviewed by S Higgins, who stayed in March 2012
Stayed during renovation construction
We stayed for 3 days in the midst of a major renovation of the hotel. After we made reservations, the hotel sent us a letter telling us the hotel exterior was under major renovation and offered a significant discount if we decided to stay at the hotel. The hotel (will be) lovely, the rooms are nice, and the location ideal (it may be the closest hotel to the Eiffel Tower and is directly next to the (currently being renovated) Museum of Man. The discount was appreciated, but they totally understated the extent of the renovation, which had a major impact on the interior and even our room (which had large holes in the wall for plumbing access)...no air conditioning, rubble in the halls, major plaster dust, etc. Although the hotel is lovely and the discounted price was good, expect major disruption if you stay there and expect discomforts related to the construction. Les Jardins du Trocadéro
This is a lovely little hotel that couldn't be closer to the gardens over looked by the Eiffel tower if you tried. Food is great, staff are very helpful and speak English. If you want a view of the tower the ask for a room on the 4th floor or above with a view. The rooms aren't the biggest but are kitted out with what you ned, if you plan to spend a lot of time in your room then you will be disapointed but if that's the case why are you going to Paris. The hotel are keen to help the environment as most are now but this little hotel goes the extra mile and only offer Organic foods and a lot of materials are of organic manufacture Reviewed by Richard M, who stayed in July 2011

A lovely hotel, right next to the metro which is excellent, and 5 mins walk to the eiffel tower. There are plenty eating places around which speak english.
The room was nice and clean, and very comfortable. The staff all speak english and are very helpful, and the service always comes with a smile.
I've not rated the food as we only had the continental breakfast, although it was nice. As far as I am aware, they don't serve lunch/evening meal.
I would definately stay again!! Reviewed by D Smith, who stayed in June 2011
A very good fourth visit
This was our fourth stay in the last four months.
The hotel is very clean and the staff are very helpfully.
The only thing is they only do breakfast, and not an evening meal. Reviewed by A Green, who stayed in March 2011
Nice Hotel - excelent area
A small and nice hotel right at the Place de Trocadéro very close to the Eifel Tower, 2-minutes from the Metro, nice quiet surroundings and in general a very nice area (16. arrondissement). Very serviceminded staff which gave us good service. Reviewed by C Brandt, who stayed in September 2010
