Great Hotel in a Great Location
What a change to find a smaller 'independent' hotel in a location like this. With Place Victor Hugo only 1 minute walk away and Etoile only 5 it couldn't be better. The staff on reception were helpful and friendly and could teach many of the other Paris hotels something about customer service.
Rooms are traditional style with lovely high ceilings. Some of the wallpaper was a little tired but only a little. I won't look anywhere else in future when I stay in Paris! Reviewed by John B, who stayed in May 2012

Central for Paris hotspots
I took my boyfriend on a surprise weekend to Paris, and booked this hotel because it was on a special offer over the weekend. We were both very pleasantly surprised for a number of reasons... easy to get to from Gard du Nord - the metro is very straightforward and this hotel is minutes away from Victor Hugo stop ; very close to Place du Victor Hugo for its bars and shops, Arc de Triomphe, Champs Elysees and also the Eiffle Tower. The hotel itself has a tiny frontage - actually just the front door, so don't look for a large hotel frontage! But our room was quite spacious, very clean with tea/coffee making facilities, tv and mini-bar. We didn't incl breakfast as it seemed expensive, and we were quite happy to wander and find an eaterie elsewhere. Lovely weekend! Reviewed by L Chandler, who stayed in October 2010
Paris
Hotel was perfect for our requirements - Excellant service and great accommodation. Room was nice and bathroom was good. Hotel was in a perfect position for getting to/from usual sites in Paris. Reviewed by H Forrest, who stayed in July 2010
Great for Europeans, not so for Americans.
Friendly and helpful staff. Organised collection for me from airport - 60 euro and helped with dinner reservations.
Small but lovely hotel. Our room was large with a king size bed, no corner bath as per the photos. The lift is hilarious - adequate for average europeans, definitely a squeeze for the some of the morbidly obsese americans we saw.
Arc de triumph and Eiffel Tower are literally 10 mins walk in either direction.
Close to Victor Hugo subway, great shopping all the way. Great bistros all around. Didn't eat breakfast in hotel as the price was expensive. You can get a lite breakfast in any of the local bistros for 6-8 euro p/p v 18 euro each in the hotel, out from morning till 2am.
We spent very little time in the hotel, but as a central base, couldn't be better. Reviewed by Jamie Smith, who stayed in June 2010
