Disappointing stay
The room provided was one of the small ones & had some issues like the AC not working and the Bathroom washbasin not draining properly (which was hugely irritating). We couldn't get any help from the hotel since all numbers called on the reception, maintenance, housekeeping went unanswered for quite some time (it wasn't practical to go down to the reception to complain since we had a room on the 11th floor).
I complained to the hotel manager the next day while checking out. While he apologised there was no attempt to record our feedback. There was an explanation given for the AC issue (as told to us it was due to a fire which had broken out the previous night in the area next to the hotel. However there was no communication to us in this regard). Overall a pretty disappointing stay especially for the price paid (& given Novotel's reputation). Great trip
The hotel thought of everything to make all guests comfortable. Everything was easy access.
When we arrived at the hotel they could not find our booking and sat in the lobby waiting for a while until we had to forward confirmation e-mail received from Laterooms.
The hotel was very close to the Metro and staff were very helpful to show us where everything was and how to reach important tourist attractions in Paris.
Price of room per night could have included breakfast since kids eat free and only 2 adults in the party. Reviewed by Dorottya Sibai, who stayed in March 2012
Great value room
The room was the same as every Novotel is in France so as a plus you know exactly what you are getting. It was a really good price through Laterooms but there is no way I would pay Novotel rates for it. There were a few little things that weren't great; the room was extremely hot and the air con didn't work and the window couldn't be opened as we were on floor 16. The other complaints were minor but little things add up, the shower head didn't sit in the holster, etc. The area it is in is not the smartest superb of Paris but it is 30 seconds away from a metro station (which is surrounded by beggars and homeless people). The car park is safe under the hotel. Overall we would use it again but only for the right price. Reviewed by Matthew Brooks, who stayed in October 2011

Good Hotel, dodgy area
We stayed at the Hotel for one night on our way back from a camping trip further south. Finding the hotel in the Paris rush hour wasn't to difficult, and the reception staff were helpful. We arrived in a car with bikes and a large roof box, like most city hotels the car park is underground and has a 1.8m height restrictor. We had made them aware of our tall car in advance and they found us a space in the coach park. Within 3min of parking, 2 seperate people had told us not to leave anything on or in the car as they probably wouldn't be there by moring. As we had a car packed with camping kit, emptying it was not an option, so we removed the bikes and put them in the left luggage room and secured the roof box as best we could with bike locks.
Our room was on the 17th floor and had a great view of the city, it was not over large, but adequate for one night. Slightly annoyingly their were only two towels provided, and the fold out beds for the children were not made. However we quickly made the beds and more towels were sent up.
We then caught the Metro into Paris - it takes about 20min as the Hotel is at "the end of the line". I should say at this point that even in the early eveing we were slightly uncomfortable walking to the Metro station, I should quantify this by saying I have lived in the less desireable areas of Coventry, Nottingham and Manchester in the past!! This was worse.
We returned at about 11:30pm. By which time their were a lot of "shifty" looking chracters around and we practically ran back to the Hotel - outside the Coach park (where our car was parked!!) we came across a family of about 10 with a graffetied Renault Espace, loud music and unwashed children. Whilst I'm trying not to impose stereotypes, this did not fill us with a feeling of security. Also we went back the most direct route, not the one given to us by the hotel staff, we found the road to be strewn with huge ammounts of rotting rubish. We did make it back in one peice however.
The following morning we arrived for breakfast at 10:30am having been told it was served until 11, to find the staff clearing it away! Apparently it was only being served until 10:30am, we did manage to grab a few items before they vanished, but clearly nothing was going to stop them clearing up. We were not the only guests to be in this situation, so I don't think we misunderstood the receptionist!
Checking out was painless, we were not charged for parking, and were only charged for the adult breakfasts - 32Euros, I did consider protesting that we had to practically chase it arround the room to obtain it, but decided not to push my luck.
Our car was fortunatly untouched.
In Summary :- A perfectly good hotel, hugely let down by it's surroundings. Which are the reason I wouldn't recomend it to anybody who wishes to visit Paris. Reviewed by R Nelson, who stayed in September 2011
Not up to scratch
We had a family room (2 adults + 2 children) but when the sofa bed was unfolded there was very little space to move in the room compared with other family rooms we have used in the past. That said, the beds were comfortable. Neither the bathroom nor the toilet were as clean as they should have been. The water hose to the toilet was turned off when we arrived which made me feel as though we were either unexpected or unwanted guests! We only realised the problem after it had been used and although not a big chore to rectify, it wasn't exactly how you expect to start your stay at a hotel. There was a noise which sounded as though it came from the floor above us and clunked all through the day and night., waking us at various times in the small hours on both nights. All in all I felt that the room was a last-resort room that was probably only used when all the other were full ?? Or for guests paying reduced rates ??
The service in the restaurant was appalling, the staff were slow to serve drinks, never offered us the chance to order a second drink, almost forgot to bring the bread. We ended up helping ourselves to the menu to look at desserts as otherwise I think we would still be there now. When we the desserts did arrive, the order was wrong although an attempt to rectify this was made - however by then it was very late and we were fed up hanging around. Consequently we did not eat breakfast there, not wanting to endure another meal under these frustrating conditions. Reviewed by L PLOEGAERTS, who stayed in September 2011

3 Day stop in Paris
Great hotel for the price, reception staff very helpful and friendly. Metro just around the corner so great for getting into central Paris. Good value breakfast great selection. Shame steam room was out of order. Reviewed by C Batty, who stayed in August 2011
Family friendly hotel
We found the staff very helpful and friendly, going out of their way, for example, to show us where to park. The local area was uninspiring but we expected that from other reviews but the metro was handy and it was quick to get into central Paris. We ate in the cafe and enjoyed the meals; breakfast was also good. The kids enjoyed having access to the games room and computers in the lobby. The kids had sofa beds and they said they were comfortable. We were on the seventh floor and even though the view was over the periphique we were not disturbed by any exterior noise. I would have marked higher on the food apart from the fact that the breakfast on the 1st morning really was awful - served in what appeared to be a conference suite with very mediocre food. Completely made up for by the bar breakfast the following day which was very good and served by a very friendly, helpful waiter. Had a good dinner there also although my wife's fish was very overcooked, but they replaced it without complaint. Children really enjoyed it too. Reviewed by C Haworth, who stayed in August 2011
The hotel was perfect for my group of 4 people.
The room was clean and modern. Having a fridge in the room was a bonus.
The shower was great, and having a separate toilet was useful.
It was very easy to walk to the Metro, and we found it easy to get around the city using the Metro.
The supermarket and local shopping centre were within an easy walk of the hotel. Reviewed by J Loader, who stayed in August 2011
not exactly what it said on the tin
Lovely hotel let down by disinterested staff and complete slum area surroundings.
Staff on check in were fine and attentive but from here on it went down hill.
Being hungry from a long journey we headed pretty much straight for the cafe / restaurant, were seated quickly but then waited 15 minutes with no one coming to ask if we wanted drinks or to order, we searched all around the cafe but there were no staff so we left. We then discovered that there were very few places to eat anywhere near the hotel and that they were all shut until 6pm and that the general area around the hotel can only be described as "slum". At around 4pm - 8pm every night, the bridge over the motorway turned in to a makeshift market with people selling 2nd hand clothes out of a shopping trolley. Returned to the hotel to have another go at getting food there, which was then ok (although still pretty poor considering we were the only people there and there were 3 staff wandering around not doing anything). Food was also pretty over priced (50 euros for 2 people for a caesar salad and fish and chips, food was ok but not that good). By far the most expensive meal of the holiday and definitely not the best.
Breakfast in the hotel was pretty dire, everything was cold (mmm cold scrambled eggs, lovely) and because of that wildly over priced (15 euros per person). Didn't return here for breakfast on any other day.
Mini bar in room was also completely empty and fridge was broken.
Basically, think premier inn but alot more expensive. Fine as a place to lay your head but not deserving of 4 stars. Reviewed by Andrew B, who stayed in August 2011
please give us mopre fresh air!!!
The room good be bigger - we only needed one extra bed, not a huge sofabed. The big problem - all the windows are sealed and airconditining units are not working well in the whole hotel. It was too warm in the room!!!! Reviewed by t englander, who stayed in August 2011
One night in Paris
We only had one night in paris and did not want to stay to far outside the city. The hotel was lovely - clean room, welcoming staff at the lobby, (the kids got a Cars 2 welcome gift :-) ), and all very nice and tidy - only a few metres away from the Metro station that takes you straight into Paris. Only slight problem is parking if you are traveling with a larger car (ie Multivan) - that won't fit in the garage - we were lucky and could find a space at the bus parking right on front of the hotel side entrance. Again, thanks to very helpful staff. All in all 10 out of 10!!!!!!!!!! Reviewed by Andrea N, who stayed in July 2011
