On arrival we could tell there was some work still being done on the hotel but after reading reviews prior to my arrival I was already aware of this so it didnt bother me in the slightest and they were only minor works so didnt affect our stay at all anyway. The reception and bar area were the first two things you see once you have entered the hotel which are both very welcoming and the reception staff are a little hidden away although once they pop up from behind their desk they are all smiles and very happy to see you and we couldn't have had a warmer welcome. I did check the tariff rate on the front of the hotel which was alot higher than what I paid through laterooms. We were originally given the wrong room but this was quickly rectified and once we were in the correct room I was amazed and it was more than what I ever expected. Everything about the hotel was brilliant and I would recommend anybody to stay here even if its just for the experience of something a little different. We were given a mini tour of the hotel along with another friendly couple staying there but unfortunately there was a scary moment as the lift got stuck for a few minutes but we were all given a glass of champagne to get over the experience and the chap working that night couldnt have been nicer or apologetic and he was in the lift with us!
